The 262x routers also have stronger processors than the 261x routers.

the 2621 has two "built-in" FE ports.....

that is to say, the FE ports are NOT on a module.

that's why they are called FIXED lan ports.

just like the 2650,2651 and 2620.

There is probably some architectural difference between "modules" and ports
directly attached to the mother board.

More than that, I can't say - ask TAC.
