Now my comments :-)
. In the tarball, the files c70dgjhw.fd and dgjhw.map have incorrect
file permissions (the executable bit is set).
. I suggest to have a TEXMF tree structure within the tarball giving
a better guidance where to place which files.
. In TeXLive, the TFM files, for example, are stored in
fonts/tfm/wadalab/dmj/...
I thus suggest
fonts/tfm/wadalab/dgjhw/...
as the target location. Similarly, I suggest
fonts/map/dvips/wadalab/
and
tex/latex/CJK/contrib/wadalab/
. I'm not really happy that font is called `dgjhwff'. Its name
should be simply `dgjhw'. I further suggest to use the SJIS code
positions for the PFB encoding vector. This would allow to use
the font directly for a C49 encoding (which is explicitly reserved
for half-width katakana). Consequently, c49{goth,maru,min}.fd
files should be added.
. For Unicode support I then suggest to create a virtual file
`dgjhwff' which does the obvious mapping.
Additionally, TeXLive has a virtual font `udmj' which maps the
Wadalab dmj family to Unicode. It might be a good idea to provide
replacements for udmjff.vf and udmjff.tfm which add the half-width
katakana appropriately so that you don't need to switch the family
just to access the half-width katakana.
