Amazing isn't it, on the technical front there is almost no problem we 
can't solve, but on the legal side we're hopelessly stuck. Huge amounts 
of effort goes into resolving licensing issues and all we get are sore 
heads and people agreeing to go and reinvent their own wheels. We write 
these words that nobody fully understands. People in the next generation 
will look back at us in wonder.

'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,' it 
means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you _can_ make words mean so 
many different things.'
