The originator did promise Linux support in the future, BUT he sold it and the new company does zero Linux support. My feeling on this is they have less than zero (negative support) Their license is the most restrictive I have read lately.
Call the Magicjack the exact opposite of open hardware. Following some complaints they included Telco's that charged them for the free ($) VOIP calls in some areas, so they passed it on to their customers (it's in the fine print before you sign (I did not sign!).
