See page 9 (3.3 Hull Deck Joint) and the illustration on page 35. I doubt the 1973 43' custom is much different. The Hull to Deck joint on a friend's 1973 C&C 35 Mk.I is essentially what is shown in the 1977 drawing in the manual for the 38. Ken H.
