The confirmed `connector-iotdb` Source-only SQL validation slice is now in PR #12603: https://github.com/apache/seatunnel/pull/12603 It adds a nonblank condition to the existing optional root-level `sql` rule, preserving its exclusivity with `tables_configs`. Factory tests cover valid root SQL with schema, empty/spaces-only/tab-only root SQL, padded nonblank root SQL accepted unchanged, and a valid `tables_configs` configuration with root SQL absent.
