The command line also allows you to have carnal knowledge with yourself.

Before I ever touched a MS-DOS system (pre-Windows), I
dealt exclusively with the command line on VAX/VMS and
PDP-11 running RSX-11M.  Yes, the command line and I
are usually on speaking terms.  Unfortunately, I'm
getting older and not as patient a I used to be.
