I once had a Garmin model 45. It would read "no satellites" if you got it up over 99 kts. It was programmed to do so. I guess they wanted one to buy the avaition model. I did. Would highly recommend the model 92. I've got an old Interphase Locator boat LORAN. Generally, it works just fine. But on 2 separate occasions, thats 2 for 2, when my groundspeed got up around 140 kts, it froze. (most boats don't go that fast <G>) When it wakes up again, it indicates some speed like 25 and shows me being 15 or 20 miles from where I was. It takes it several
