I saw 151 MPH at 10,500 MSL returning to Albuquerque from Farmington, NM
on
December 17...no wind at the surface, a very rough boundary layer at 9000
and a screaming northwest tailwind at cruise altitude. Fun. I pretended
I
was in a Bonanza :-)

Subject: [COUPERS] Groundspeed

Hi, gang,
We've talked a lot lately about airspeed in our Coupes, but what
about ground speed? Now quite a few of us have GPS receivers in our
planes, we can measure the ground speed accurately. What has your top
ground speed been? Let's see who gets the speed record. Mine was 137
MPH about 2 weeks ago flying from St. Paul to Wausau. I'm sure someone
can top that.
