Throwing away MySQL support would be complete *project-suicide*.
Personally, I like PostgreSQL better, but that's no reason to throw
away support for MySQL!
I sure hope the support for triggers and views will be here soon. It
makes application development so much simpler.

BTW, Sybase is free as in beer, not libre, AFAIK.
