Thanks Allan,

Thats pretty obvious, I'll chcke it out.

I always feel kinda guilty checking the Borland groups about a Firebird
problem given the history....

I don't have the answer but whenever I want to check up on an unknown error
I first check the delphi newsgroups
at www.fulltextsearch.com <http://www.fulltextsearch.com>
If you enter "could not find object" (make sure you enclose it in quotes) in
the "Search Borland Newsgroups", you will find a few entries there that
might relate to your situation. A link worth book-marking.

        Hi,

I've got 20 odd clients running a small system (a single EXE written
in D6
against a firebird database) with no problems, one of them has just
reinstalled onto a clean Windows 98 SE system and when they try to
log in to
my program they get a "could not find object" error message.

Has anyone come across this or something similar before? I suspect
it's an
issue with the Firebird install, but before I start on their
newsgroups I
        thought I'd go local first....

        tia and regards

        Willie
