Not in the least. I was just trying to make the point that Borland must have
foreseen this when they opensourced IB6.0

I think Firebird is a great initiative. IBPhoenix too. Borland would be
better off worring about competing with SQL Server than Firebird.

I have heard of several projects switch from Interbase to SQL Server in a
corporate environment, because Interbase wasn't a company standard db or the
PTB had never heard of Interbase.
