Well I must say that I don't put Interbase into the same light as an MS SQL
Server or Oracle or Sybase.
I use Interbase when I need a little more than a desktop database.
Generally my interbase apps are either single user, or very low in
continuous users.

Well Borland can't really control the "wasn't a company standard" cop out.
I say a cop out (not at you personally) but at the fact that it is surely
possible to make any software package a "company standard". Interested to
know how those projects are performing under MS SQL Server compared to
Interbase and also if the conversion costs were worth it, and if they want
to sell me there old licenses!

The second part of the statement is partly Borlands fault, but could also
be attributed to the companies lack of research prior to making decisions.

Perhaps they did this to renew there motivation towards the product ;-)))

JED.
