Looks good for me, just a few remarks to the optical impression:
Good to have an expert's opinion on it.
- I would like to see the blue-to-white gradients in the table headings
instead of the different colors. New users don't know what the colors
mean, others know where to search their topic. Therefore we can stay
with the overall impression of the OOo website.
Ok, the colors were a first shot anyway. However I would like
to use different appearances for the different tables to emphasize
the distinction.
- I'm quite sure you won't use your "special" gulls in the final "News"
icon. The original ones (or the pair with shadow by Stella) keep our
visual identity...
Where do I get the official ones?
(Well, I could go across the floor and ask Stella...)
- When you don't use the full screen width, the book covers "Resources"
Okay, I'll look into that.
About the entries in the "Favorites" there might be some differences,
but that's no point in the moment.
First shot. I am happy to accept suggestions for a favorite
or quick links list.
All over all a really good idea - I'd like to see you go on with it!
