Hi Michael, As I see Charles himself is supporting Eike in this role. I am sorry I have not had a chance to be fully acquainted with Eike's experience in the fields you have mentioned.
So in that case, and since Charles no longer seems to be willing to volunteer, Eike has my support. And no, it is not a pure political talking-shop, and whoever is selected as a liaison, he/she should make sure the entire underrepresented FLOSS community is represented together with OOo :) Regards, Aiet
