But from user's side, maybe I am not the Y generation, I don't see the reason why I need to browse an webpage on a 3D box surface or view a movie while at the same time rotate it. What benefit can it bring to me? I just hope my device can run as fast as possible, and my battery can last as long as possible. So yes, the CPU and GPU runs faster and faster, But why not save the power, I don't think the performance is already good enough, I can see there are lots of complains on the current atom based MID about power consumption and speed. Anyway, It's just my personal feeling, and I don't have the data. So, If clutter can achieve the 3D effect without trade-off on performance and power consumption, I will welcome it. If not, at least, can we give the user more option if they don't need the fancy 3D effect on window managements? Let GPU do it's work on some program who really need 3D effect.
