We're not expecting those to be super fast in software (but yes in GL and XRender), just not super-slow and actually the code runs at acceptable speed. What it impacted were *other* paths that it should not, so it was reverted until we find some time to look at it deeper and solve the problem. >> BTW, do you already have a working mockup of your brand new windowing >> system or it's just bunch of engineerings doing random graphics >> effects? That's what it matter most to me, really. I don't care about technology per se, I care I have a platform I can go and use with our costumers without having to replace everything, like Ian said. The more "ready" it is, the better to me. If it's yet-another-compiz, than we'll have problems with costumer saying "turn off those damn annoying windows, I want to read its contents, you know!" and there we go, also followed to do customizations in one way or another because the base platform just looks weird/ugly. -- Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri http://profusion.mobi embedded systems -------------------------------------- MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: gsbarbieri Mobile: +55 (19) 9225-2202
