I'll be committing LUCENE-8048 in the next couple of hours. Ran 1,000 beasts of the failing test last night (thanks Simon!) so I'm pretty confident now.
SOLR-11624 has been there since 7.0, I've pinged the others on that JIRA about whether we should move forward with it for 7.2, I certainly won't have time.
