I don't like it =/. It sounds like we are 1850s abolitionists trying to free slaves. I think most of us would have been abolitionists in the 1850s, but that's beside the point. It sounds like we are pro-capitalist philosophers at the time of feudalism, trying to free people who are repressed. That goal is not necessarily disjoint from Snowdrift's, but it's at best tangentially relevant, at least to our immediate goals. IMHO, it is rather misleading. I haven't been following the discussion, so I haven't seen the criticisms of "clearing the path to a free/libre/open world", but I vote we stick with it. Peter Harpending
