RE: why we changed ad providers

I'd like to clarify that our decision to switch domain parking providers was
just that, *our* decision, and we based this decision on our desire to find
the best partner to meet our (and our resellers') evolving needs and
expectations. Google had NO issue with us and what we were doing, and are
doing, with our Parked Pages Program. In fact, we still do a lot of business
with our friends at Google, and will likely continue to do so.

Thanks.

There has been a change from Google to another ad provider I believe because
Google was getting more sticky about what it would let its ads appear on.
I think this was a necessary change and I did say to Bill Sweetman that we
should be putting the ads on as soon as a domain expires, not three days or
a week later so as to maximise on the income AND alert customers to the
expiry (as we have a custom header).
I don't know if that will happen but I believe it has to.
I was also suggesting that we have some sort of syndication so we could use
the same ads on customers holding pages on web hosting accounts or even on
404 pages if we wanted to on some of our free or very low cost services.

Its all about maximising revenue and I have never had a customer complain
about having the ads on their parked page.
Yes, we could make more by doing the ads ourselves but this way its money
for nothing.
