Karl,
One of my previous QTH's in town had a very small lot. I installed a 10
ft mast on the eave of my cape house style house and installed an inverted
vee fed with 450 ohm line. The dipole was about 130 ft total length. I had
to play around with the feedline length some but was able to tune all bands
80 through 10. For 160 meters I fed the ends of the 450 ohm line tied
together and tuned it as a top loaded vertical. To do this I also installed
a counterpoise. It all worked very well. I want to do the same thing here at
my present QTH but currently lack the supports to have the feedline drop
near the shack. One of these days I will come up with something.
