Great,... I've to remember this (or better RTFM the next time ;-))... AND GUESS WHAT? Writing and Reading back the project file created with Rev. 69 under linux works!!! At least on my Suse/UTF-8 Box... It looks exactly like the project file created under Windows with Rev. 70 (but I'll check the behavoir of Rev69/70 under Windows again... just to be really sure... ahemm)! Seems that we need some #ifdefs ... ;) >> Maybe that part in QT is different in the Windows library? > >Maybe. I don't know what's inside the windows binaries - I didn't build >them. I've build the windows libraries from source using QT 3.3.8 (under Linux it's 3.3.5, whereas these I did not build by myself). I don't expect any differences due to the version number, but maybe there are some #ifdef's because Windows always uses UTF-8 whereas under Linux different encodings are possible... bye, ralph PS: BTW,... the "svn diff"-patch from above does (of course) NOT change back the $Id comment line with the version information... so the binary is still called Rev70... just to avoid any confusion if someone wants to try... ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
