That would also go quite a way towards mitigating the current situation -- if comments did not appear automatically in the "top level" of the inbox but were in some subfolder that I'd have to open explicitly, that would help unclutter the Inbox tremendously. (And then it would also be easier to delete just that folder without deleting, say, private messages -- though that works now, too.)
