Jackie, LJ cuts don't cut your text OFF, they put it behind a
link.  That means that I'll see it, and if it looks like it's
going to be NSFW (or any other place and/or company I might be
looking at it in), or too thinky for me to look at right now, I
have the choice to bookmark it to read later.  And if it's a
huge political rant that will make me want to tear your head off,
I can not read it and we can still stay friends because I can
read the other stuff you post.

There are people on my flist that I really want to know how their
husband and cats are doing, and I want to read their fic, and I
want to hear about their holidays and their daily lives, but the
world will be a brighter place if we never ever have a discussion
about how terrible the situation is in Israel, because the things
they think are terrible about it are not the things I think are
terrible about it, except for the parts where lots of people have
died.

That's all I want.
