I spoke to a salesrep at nSoftware. The $1,000 Maintenance is for their
Enterprise level products. He agreed that the cost would be $499.00 for the
1st year, then optionally $100.00 per year after that. The 20% maintenance
entitles you to upgrades, updates and email support.

Annual Maintenance

Annual Maintenance is included with the initial purchase and may be maintained
for 20% of the license fee to be renewed on an annual basis. Annual
Maintenance includes:

   1. Recipient will receive certified product and all updates associated with
the continuance of eBusinessReady Certification.
   2. Free Updates for the IP*Works! EDI AS2 Connector.
   3. Ongoing email support for your product.

If Maintenance is not renewed annually, the licensee loses the right to receive
upgrades and updates to the product including eBusinessReady certification,
forfeits the right to ongoing email support and must purchase additional
licenses in order to reinstate the Annual Maintenance option.

This is exactly what I said previously. The Salesrep that you spoke to is
wrong.
