I agree. I would not take the company down that slope.

You know, this is almost a 'crap shoot'.  The costs I've been seeing 
for us to do what we want to do (go AS2 for our top 5 TPs and 
continue to use a VAN for the remaining TPs at a somewhat reduced 
rate) seems to be relatively in the same ballpark.
If I look at those companies that have products that are DGI 
certified and add up the upfront costs, per-TP costs, annual 
maintenance and licensing costs, and reduced volume VAN rates then, 
for us, they all seem to come in around $6k - $7k for AS2-related 
stuff and $300 - $400 for 600 kcs/month.
