I would sure like to see this license mess get resolved. I hope we can reach a consensus on the "right" license to put all of LinuxCNC under, that would be a major step. Then, maybe we can work on a plan on how to get all pieces under that license. If there is some stupid code that needs to be clean-room converted, I can try my hand at it, but my understanding from reading is that this is actually quite hard to do right. If there is some really intricate mathematical code that needs conversion, I'm probably not up to the task.
