I'm pretty sure nobody was talking about restarting the computer, or restarting EMC2. The question is how to be sure that restarting a g-code program within EMC2 does what you want and expect. There are at least ytwo issues here. First, there have been bugs related to restarting before, though I think those have been fixed. Second, what you want / expect may be different from what someone else wants/expects.
