I'm pretty sure nobody was talking about restarting the computer, or 
restarting EMC2.  The question is how to be sure that restarting a 
g-code program within EMC2 does what you want and expect.

There are at least ytwo issues here.  First, there have been bugs 
related to restarting before, though I think those have been fixed.  
Second, what you want / expect may be different from what someone else 
wants/expects.

We generally want the underlying system to be able to accomodate 
anyone's needs, which makes it harder to design correctly at the start 
(and also somewhat harder to configure, since you need to tell EMC2 how 
to behave)
