I think CRC is "Cutter Radius Compensation" and NCD os "Naive CAM detection"?
I suspect that very few people know enough about how LinuxCNC works
now to realise that is what it being implied. However, my
understanding was that we were talking about ways to "fix" the
existing behaviour.

I think this is the approach to take, and it probably ought to include
(at the least) the changes in ja3 too.

However, I don't think anyone has EMC3 as a trademark, we could change
the name back :-)
