 All Bridgeport mill and Romi lathes made since 1980 (maybe
 earlier) had desktop PC motherboards in them.  We have 3 at work like that.

One manufacturer of CNC punch presses used Macintosh IIcx mainboards and 
designed their control hardware and software to work only with a IIcx and the 
System version shipped with the machine. Can't upgrade to a IIci or Quadra 700 
or any other NuBus Macintosh or a newer System or Mac OS, it Just Won't Work.
