I wondered about that, since the matching DM542's don't. I am not done piddling with that, but my next tests might be to see if I can shut up the horrible growl that nema 34 when its making about 250m/minute speeds on a 16x5 screw. I have had some pleasant results playing with the current settings in a prior build but I've not been able to take the time in the last 2 days. Thanks Jeremy. Humm, ugly thought. Peter C Wallace, is there a way we could make a fixed duty cycle of 50% in the 5i25 while allowing the variable frequency we need? My noise may well be the two step, stop, 2 step, stop, at a variable repeat rate. Or is one of the dip switches on the DM860 capable of disabling that double step on a single 1.5 u-s long pulse. I'll have to study that table printed on it better. I might even probe its output, synched to the input just to confirm that. I sure don't consider that scenario any better than Jackie G. when he said "what a revoltin development that is."
