I tried E as a replacement for Kwin in KDE by modifing the startKDE script. It worked but the systray icons are opened in a new window instead of in the kickers systray area. But since Kwin was greatly improved with KDE 3.2 and the performance got much better I no longer miss E. Sorry, Folks! At the time of KDE 2.x I was a Enlightenment only user, but KDE got faster and faster and better and better in the meantime. Bugreports and wishes are processed very fast. This is something I am missing for enlightenment (this not to criticise the developers.
