Hi David,

My comment was only regarding the initial short supply of EF 70-200 4L
lenses then seeing them flood the secondary market. This to me was odd and
indicated that people bought them for a reason that didn't match up well
with their expectations. Of course it could be that their expectations were
wacky.

I have only seen and played with it, personally I would not consider it
because of lens speed. I'm not so old and feeble yet as to worry about
weight yet so my new EF 70-200 2.8L IS is mounted a lot on my 1D. I suppose
if one were coming from a manual focus SLR system that a 70-200 f/4 lens
with the kind of image quality this lens is purported to have, a constant
f/4 would seem a reasonably fast lens.

Cheers/Chip
