Hi Peter,

Where are the reports giving the Sigma 15-30 3.5-4.5EX top tier labs and
field tests? Are they published somewhere on the web so I can see how they
tested them? Did they test them on a digital body? Which one? Who did
these tests? Do you have one of the new Sigma 15-30 3.5-4.5EX zooms? Have
you tested it on EOS film and digital bodies yet?

I don't doubt the new 15-30 Sigma is a good lens, but I doubt that for the
small difference in cost savings that cost will be an issue. If you read
what I wrote you'll see that IMO on a digital body the 2mm shorter F/L is
what will close the deal for many people with D30/D60/10D size sensors.
Heck even the Nikon users will probably be interested in this one, Nikon has
nothing even close on the street yet do they?

BTW, the EF 17-35 4L is black like the EF 17-35 2.8L and EF 16-35 2.8L
lenses and EF 24-70 2.8L and EF 28-70 2.8L lenses, not beige. I don't
assume anything, I read and listen to what people say about equipment then I
shoot with it myself to see what I think. Canon must be doing something
right, apparently the market will bear more for Canon "L" and non"L" lenses
regardless of color than for Sigma lenses of any moniker.

Cheers/Chip
