I actually used this lens for many motorsports assignments before buying the
2.8IS version. It is very sharp and with a surprising fast AF speed.
Extremely good value for money in my opinion and I now regret selling it as
it would come in very handy for occasions where I need to travel light. Not
that I would give up the new lens though...
