I would guess we do something like wock to wabbit. We have scale simulators of comet collisions with earth that produce amino acids (or precursors). So 'rock' plus wads of energy give organics plus evolution via various assimilation gives wabbit. It would be awfully bothersome going round labelling rocks as potential wabbits, so I guess Nom's crude cut-throat survives. Light can be made to produce matter (electron and positron). We don't know life without matter, but I guess it could be an emergent property not needing religion.
