I return to your post, Socratus (and Archytas) a bit late.... Here is my "problem".... and my "criticism".... As I read both of your replies (Siocratus and Archytas) I get the "feeling", which is to say I "infer" the "implication" from both of you that You both make the "leap" and associate "life" with "energy". I ask both of you.... Do you have any proven "factual" physical scientific knowledge that Life (as in human intelligence and consciousness) is in and of itself.... ENERGY? Or, is Human intelligence and consciousness... something else?... I don't know. I don't have the answer.... but if Intelligence and consciousness is "energy".... then it should be able to be captured ansd "stored" in something like a "battery"... or a "hard drive"......I am not a scientist... But I think that you two, who are (more scientist than I) are basically just reasoning by "analogy or metaphor".... to "electricity" or "computers".... etc.
I'll go you both one better on Feynman 1987 quoted above..... If you ... "we"... "have no knowledge of what energy is".... I submit that you.... "we".... know even less what "Life" ( intelligence and self-consciousness ) is..... HAR I'm just saying.... do not jump to conclusions.... especially not on the Energy = Life conclusion.... Essence... equals... Existence a "nominalist" like William of Ockham would say....
