Freenet might be that way, but Gnutella is not --- you share what you
want to.  You do need to be careful that it's configured correctly however,
as apparently some test searching indicated that many people are sharing
more than they intended (like quicken files with account numbers).  You
also need to be careful about some of the commercial software, which
installs spyware.

Disclosure: I have friends who are peripherally related to Morpheus,
which is a commercial Gnutella client, though I think it's spyware-free.
I'm not sure though.  I would recommend installing ad-aware first, as it
detects spyware and disables it.

As the host ISP for the OEVA website, I'll volunteer to host video files;
to be honest, I think the bandwidth demand will only last for a few days,
though peer2peer is a good long term plan.
