Yes, pre-recorded content could be distributed live as well - much the
way a cable channel works.  However, because real time distribution or
endless stream lengths are not required in this case, this technology
seems ill-suited for, as you say, distributing already-made EV-Meet
files - especially when they are edited to manageable lengths and only
get generated a few times a year.

Perhaps there *is* some EVTV application that could leverage this
technology.  Perhaps multiple channels of weekly installments shown
every hour on the hour of our handyman heros building their dream
vehicles...
