I'm still not clear on whether you're talking about Win profiles or OL profiles. If the problem is with the Win profiles, then the fact that it came back after using a temporary profile is not necessarily reassuring. I've had a Win2K workstation that was playing musical chairs with my profile all the time, creating temp profiles, new permanent profiles, and sometimes going back to previous profiles.
