Guido lived in the 11th century. The earliest musical notation is from the 9th century, responding to a memorization crisis stemming from Charlemagne's liturgical reforms. Saying that Guido invented any aspect of music notation is like saying that Rameau invented functional tonality. -- Andrew Stiller Kallisti Music Press http://www.kallistimusic.com _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
