It demonstrates that page keys are not essential to moving the 
insertion point through a document. The arrow keys are essential. This 
is proven because if you take the arrow keys away from a Wintel box, I 
think you'd be somewhat at a loss for complete navigation and selection 
facilities. But if you take the page keys away from a Mac box, there 
are still complete navigation and selection abilities.

Another thing is it demonstrates is the scalability of the mechanism. 
My PowerBook 145B has 63 keys, my "Standard" 81, the two "Extended" 
models 105, and the iMac 108. I can use the <Modifer-Arrow> mechanism 
on all.

I must admit, it's mighty hard to discern what you said in the first 
place because of the overly verbose nature of your posts. I responded
