Well, I solved that one. Using TGTools I had reassigned the 'numpad /' to do
the same thing as 't' so that I could hit it easily in Speedy with MIDI.
Somehow this reassignment combined with the SAME assignment in Simple
keyboard shortcuts, resulted in the odd behavior described above. Note that
the behavior of this combination corresponds to no existing key (I think)!
When I deleted the assignment in TGTools the numpad/ then worked as
advertised in Simple, but, of course, I do not have that option in Speedy
now. Grrrrrr.

Tobias and MakeMusic might want to look into the implications of this for
other remapping/shortcuts.
