Stella isn't completely shed out now but I know her eel stripe on her back is tan, and while she has a dark grey or black tip on her ear, there is tan on the back of the ear toward the tip. also light tan on her face. her leg stripes are more grey than black and she also has some light tan on the upper part of her forelegs. >> Another question: we talk about the five different >> fjord colours - >> brown, red, grey, white/uls and yellow dun. My personal theory is that a grey dun diluted by the cremello gene would give a color very similar to the "white"/uls dun except that the coat may actully be whiter rather than wool colored (Uls) and perhaps the muzzle would be dark, grey or black rather than light colored or "mealy". I think the cremello gene dilutes each of the main colors and thus creates many so called "white duns" which actually may be dilutes of the brown dun, grey dun and red dun. the dilution of the red dun would supposedly be a yellow. But that still leaves the question of what to call these very light colors such as Adel who has those scattered BLACK hairs in her mane and tail. It seems that seh is getting more and more black hairs, but I doubt she will ever have a "stripe".
