No reason. Someone needs to do the work to integrate plib (which provides our sound loader) with libogg. An even better addition would be libjpeg integration for texture files. The textures are a much larger chunk of the base package size than the audio files are. Some of the sharp edges in the instrument faces might not compress well, but the terrain textures surely would.
