For an unexplained reason, it's working better now. Athlon 3700+ 1 Gig hz 1 Gig memory, with onboard ATI Radeon XPress 200 video, yields about 9 frames per sec with the C-172. Yeah, I probably should get a better video card in there (It's only money, right?). What kind of rate should I be targeting? Also, is there a way to tell FG not to load all the visual terrain data on the computer that is just displaying instruments? Yeah, I should probably RTFM!!!
