I am not sure, but initial strings play a vital role in modem
connection. Default initial strings used by modems is ATZ. I use zte
cdma G218 set for internet connection in both fedora, kubuntu and
windows, and it shares a common initial string "at+crm=150". This
initial string works for this set, and varies for different sets. So,
if you and shishir's phone are the same, make sure the initial strings
exactly match.
