Actually, the code first retrieves the translated string, then changes
the first character to upper case, with no effect if an upper case
form does not exist. If anyone can think of a problem with this
approach, the ticket is here:

Without the type safety of c++ and the well tuned data structures in the
stl this would be an interesting challenge to implement. I'll think about it. :)
