That's a very good example. I hope there aren't too many people pressed over the tangential direction of this thread, but it seems worthwhile. Comparing MS Word to AbiWord is like comparing a BMW 750i to a Toyota Corolla -- both will accomplish the same function (get you there), but one is loaded down with several hundred "features" you will probably never use, while the other is much more straight-forward in its approach.
