Thanks for the info Tim, my only problem with Vonage over Verison is
that they don't offer a local number which would make it difficult for
family who live in town to call without dialing long-distance. Of
course the Verison plan it about $5 more a month also.
And Bruce I appreciate the concern, but somehow I managed to survive
for roughly 40 years without having 911 phone service and I really
think I could do it again if I had to. Besides, if I lived any closer
to the county Sheriff's office, I would have to yell each morning for
the turnkey to let me out so I could go to work!
I think Vonage has the first month free so I have not got a lot to lose
by trying it first.
